Luella Wagner is a teacher, writer, public speaker, and performer. 

She has taught in several countries, an island in the South Pacific and on an Indian Reservation in Montana. After returning from the reservation, many people were interested in her time there. She began giving presentations at the local, state, and national levels. Her story became the topic of her one-woman show, Bloom Where You Are Planted at the Whitefire Theatre in Sherman Oaks, CA. She has since written The Seven Directions of the Medicine Wheel – a practical guide for everyday living based on Native American teachings. Her memoir, Teacher in the Yellow House, recounts her struggles, challenges, and subsequent rewards of living and teaching on the rez. 

Luella speaks on a wide range of topics, but they all contain one major theme – finding one’s purpose in life. Whether speaking to future teachers about achieving success in the classroom, teaching exercise classes to senior citizens, explaining the Native American Medicine Wheel, or finding answers walking the labyrinth, her talks always inspire her audiences to reach deep down into their personal reservoir and discover the skills and talents they are meant to offer the world. Luella’s presentations are always motivational, education, and entertaining. 

Luella Wagner is a graduate of Boston University and UCLA’s Teacher Credential Program. She holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Theatre from New York University. 

Luella is also a certified exercise instructor and an avid cyclist. She has ridden in the California Coast Classic, a 525-mile bike event from San Francisco to Los Angeles to raise awareness and funds for the Arthritis Foundation.
